Meet your Professional Dog Trainers in Washington DC
Beth Aldrich
Owner & Head Trainer
As with most canine professionals, Beth Aldrich loves dogs. Her goal is to give every owner the tools and strategies to create a strong and rewarding bond with their dog. Beth has spent almost 8 years in the canine industry of the D.C. metropolitan area working as a dog walker, dog caretaker in a group facility, and manager of several doggie daycares.
Beth has also donated her time fostering and rehabilitating countless dogs from many local rescues, including the Washington Humane Society, Rural Dog Rescue, and Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. Through all these positions, Beth has earned hands-on experience with many different breeds, temperaments, and behavior issues.
Bethany Bennett
Professional Dog Trainer (Baltimore & Washington, DC)
Despite growing up without any of her own, Bethany Bennett has always found a way to surround herself with animals. She was always interested in learning what makes them do what they do. Fresh out of school, she stumbled upon a job opportunity working as a dog handler at a doggy daycare in D.C. On her first day, she was greeted by a black Labrador retriever. The lab pushed a ball under the gate and waited patiently until Bethany threw it so he could retrieve it. It was love at first sight. Soon after that, Bethany knew she wanted to work with dogs forever.
Bethany spent the next decade and a half working at the doggy daycare, volunteering at the PG Animal Shelter, and working with Rural Dog Rescue and Homeward Trails Rescue. During that time, she saw the bond between owner and dog deteriorate due to the owners’ inability to “speak dog.”
Maria Lee
Professional Dog Trainer (Virginia)
Maria Lee has always been fascinated by animals and nature, but Max, her first French Bulldog, is the reason she became a true “dog person.” She raised him from a rambunctious puppy into a certified Therapy Dog and AKC Good Citizen.
Maria became interested in dog training while working with the United States Capitol Police’s emotional support dog program. Soon, she decided a career change was in order and became a certified in-home dog trainer through Canine Trade Group. She enjoys working with all dog breeds and has an empathetic heart when working with owners who are dealing with dog aggression and anxiety.
Maria has worked successfully with her own dog, Oliver, to overcome aggression and anxiety. She wants to help owners realize their dogs can improve with a strong foundation of trust and training. Maria has a passion for training dogs to their full potential and helping owners through the process.
